Did anyone watch the programme on BB2 last night about Bodnant garden? Very enjoyable and the first of a new series. I also enjoyed the programme with Levi Roots of Reggae Reggae Sauce fame.

I went to Bodnant when I was up in Wales. I think I'll watch the programme on i-player. Apple, I love House, although sometimes I find the stories rather confusing and go away not sure what the ending meant. But is it on again yet on 5, or is that on one of those funny channels?

I watched Rivers with Griff, about the waterways in East Anglia. I watched the first bit around the fens and rather enjoyed it. It was all around my stomping grounds, fantastic! I used to live near the 40ft and Upwell and Outwell. Nice to see someone talking with nostalgia about the place rather than pointing out it is a god forsaken hole!

Did anyone watch the new Jamie Oliver series? I thought it was interesting but I found it very frustrating that there wasn't more time spent on the recipes. Like when he found the good mola, why not show us exactly what is in it and how to make it. Instead there were endless shots of him eating and then eating some more...I just would have liked more detail about the food.
Btw, did anyone watch 'Wuthering Heights'? I don't remember half of that in the book, but thought it was pretty good. I see Heathcliff's hair was a dead ringer for Matthew Wilson's mop. ;D ;D ;D

I watched Wuthering Heights Aspi, really enjoyed it but can't compare it to the book, I've never read it. I predict a book shopping spree though!

Captain <sob> Corelli's <sob> Mandolin!
I have never managed to see it before somehow. Someone told DBH it was slow - I didn't find that at all.

Lovely film JRo! I watched the stuff about the Beatles - I suppose when they first started out, I was a bit young to appreciate it. Still remember buying 'Wanna hold your Hand' & playing it on my little record player again & again...........! Found the footage quite interesting - before they found India & LSD they really seemed quite normal!! Mommyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Read the book decades ago !! Loved the film too! Normally find the film a bit disappointing after reading the book - perhaps the time lapse makes a difference

For once, just as there are at least 3 things I want to watch all at the same time, Robert has decided that he wants to watch The Mask. He normally has no desire to watch anything much, so i feel I have to let him this time. DBH will have bagged this computer pretending he wants it for work, so it's The Mask for me I suppose. Anyone who has watched it will understand that it really doesn't bear watching more than once. (IMO)

I watched it too! It was like the horrible film I watched one night not long ago about the horrible strict nuns in the orphanages in Ireland.
