It does - when I moved in there was only one plant. I scattered the seed and got a few babies, and they are all doubles. I'm just hoping they are still around this year, I really like them but I forgot to gather the seed again.

Beautiful photos, lilylouise. I'm starting to run out, it's a good job Spring is nearly here!

Lilylouise, those are lovely. Looks like Spring is nearer for you than for me.

They look so perfect that they don't look real - they have a sheen on their noses!

It looks like a mahonia, but no flowers. Even so, down there it is doing very well.

Your daffodils are ahead of mine, littleann - who'd have thought that Suffolk could be so behind. I have loads of february gold and not one is anywhere near being out.

Iris reticulata Katharine Hodgkin. I've just got the catalogue out to check what it's called and I see it's supposed to flower in January. Ho hum. That's the last from me for a couple of weeks as I'm going on holiday. I'll miss you all, hopefully the holiday will be good enough to make up for it. Lots of love to everyone

I'll need another when I get back, I hate the travelling. Hate packing too, but I must go and finish off.

I have a really big area of them, but I don't have a wide-angle lens so can't take a good enough picture to convey what it really looks like. Iris reticulata harmony - or is it gordon? The one that was meant to be 'cantab', anyway!
