I don't know how many of you watched the series on ITV1 "Mr Bates vs the Post Office", and the following programme about the real story. It is harrowing viewing and an absolute disgrace the way these subpostmasters have been treated. What must have been a slap in the face for them was the awarding of a CBE to Paula Vennells, Post Office CEO, for her "services to the Post Office". A petition was started in 2020 to strip her of this honour, and with the renewed interest in this issue, thanks to the recent publicity, it has now reached over 1 million signatures. Whilst I would never normally discuss political issues on here, or ask you to sign a petition, I feel that this is an extraordinary case, and the petition worthy of our support. Please consider signing this petition. Thanks. link

I have already signed it. Totally agree she (and many others including the Mone woman) should never had been given these 'awards'

It’s the only thing she could do. I just wish honours weren’t being bestowed on so many undeserving people. I am still fixated on that young woman who ended up in the House of Lords who appears to have absolutely no merit at all except being an aide for Boris. Something very fishy there.
