Hello everyone. I spent some time yesterday trying to start a new thread asking for help in identifying a bush. I attempted to upload an attachment of a pic of the said bush. Each time though, I believe six attempts altogether, I kept receiving the messgae 'server has timed out'. I tried again this morning in case there was a temporary problem at your end but again received the same message. Can anyone clarify if there is a problem, or is there a reason I cannot create a post containing an attachment? Any advice would be appreciated (assuming this message gets through). Thanks, Geoff.

Geoff where are you accessing your picture?
We usually put photos on photobucket then copy to here.
If using photobucket, start a new post by clicking on 'reply', open a new window for your photobucket account, hover over the picture you want to use, a wee box will appear then left click on 'img' and then come back to your post and right click and your photo's reference will appear. Click on preview and you should see your photo. Hope that helps.

Firstly, hello Nooj. Thank you for replying, nice to meet you too out here in Cyberland! Maybe you could tell me a story sometime!
Secondly, Thank you also, Amazing, and a big hello to you too. I was trying to upload directly from a drive on my PC, obviously I now see that's not the way to do it! I have created an account at Photobucket and have managed (eventually) to attach the pic as I originally envisioned. I did age a little more than I would have liked, I'm already seriously advanced in that department, but after a little help from my daughter & liberal use of a few stress relieving expletives I believe I/we have accomplished our mission. Thanks once again for taking the time to reply, & more power to your fertilizer (both of you). Geoff.

Hello Geoff, and welcome to TAPS. You'll find lots of useful info on this (General) Board. I recommend Flumpet's Guide to the Shed. We are a friendly bunch on here, as you have already discovered, so just shout up if you run into difficulties.

Hello Miss Piggin.
Thanks for the welcoming message, I guess you're one person who it would be advisable to be well in with (wink). Anyway, nice to be here! How are you at identifying stuff? Please have a look at my thread under 'over the garden fence'. Can you help at all?

Hello! I'm Flumps, very nice to meet you. You can upoad pics directly from your hard drive but tbh it's a bit temperamental. Photobucket is more faff, but IM more reliable. Anyway there;s lots of technical hexperts on here, so if you get stuck just shout.
Sadly I'm not very good at identifyng shrubs (I'm very much a "shove it inthe ground, see what happens" sort of gardener, but I'm excellent t identifying cakes. You wouldn't happen to have any cake, would you? <hopefulsmiley> ;D

We are - we are saving you lots of bother later on!
Welcome again, so glad you won't get deleted! All Cavalier owners very welcome. I always thought they would make very nice rugs but of course I prefer them still breathing. ;D

That's ok then. x
Cavaliers have such sweet faces. The next puppy in our house will definitely be a King Charles. I read a book once about a naughty one; I can't remember the title or who wrote it but the dog had the kind of personality I love in a dog.
What are yours like and what are their names?

;D ;D ;D troo, troo... I have had two friends in the past with cavaliers, and they have such lovely soft silky coats - unless they have been in the mud of course. We used to walk through woods and one was always bringing back small deceased furry animals.

It's a very rooood book called '50 Shades of Grey' Triplet, that's evidently a sensation at the moment . I am making a stand and am refusing to read it ;D
